A Virginia woman was arrested after a fatal car wreck killed another woman and her dog late Saturday.

Lori Love Shipe, 52, of Fauquier County was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after the 10:30 p.m. crash in Manassas, according to Prince William County Police.

She is accused of running her Lexus sport utility vehicle through a red light on Dumfries Road at Brentsville Road, then crashing into a Ford Focus. That car, then hit a third car.

A passenger in the Focus, Judith Ann Meyer, 57, of Powhatan, was killed as was a family dog in the vehicle. The driver of the car, a 58-year-old man, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Shipe was not injured.
