A 22-year-old man was struck by a train in Montgomery County while he and a 21-year-old woman were playing a "game," police said.

About 9:15 p.m. Monday, the victim was struck by a CSX train at the railroad crossing by Nebel Street and Randolph Road in Rockville.

The man and the woman had been drinking alcohol. At the time of the incident, they were playing a game of running accross the tracks before a train passed, according to Montgomery County police. The woman had already crossed the tracks before the man was hit.

The man was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, police said.
