Two students were shot with a pellet gun on the grounds of a Fairfax County middle school Friday morning, authorities said.

The incident took place outside on the grounds of Rocky Run Middle School in Chantilly at about 10 a.m. The victims, a 14-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl, were taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.

Within 30 minutes of the incident, police had apprehended four teenagers suspected to have been involved in the incident. Officials said the suspects are juveniles who are not students at Rocky Run.

Charges are pending against the suspects, and police have recovered the pellet gun believed to have been used.
