Ben Carson wants you to know that his presidential opportunity comes once in a lifetime.
The now-official GOP presidential candidate kicked off his remarks onstage at the Detroit Music Hall Monday morning by having a gospel choir deliver a powerful A cappella rendition of rapper Eminem’s “Lose Yourself.”
The retired neurosurgeon, who like Eminem is a native of Detroit, announced himself as a “candidate for president of the United States” to the packed crowd.
Carson first broke his presidential news just hours earlier, telling a local Ohio television station in an exclusive interview that he is officially running for the White House in 2016.
