AUBURN, Mich. (AP) — An Auburn woman who has been styling hair for more than 50 years is showing no signs of slowing down.
The Midland Daily News reports ( http://bit.ly/1pTB7Ql ) that Betty Sczepanski has been cutting and styling women's hair since the 1950s. She has owned and operated Betty's Beauty Shop since 1966. She used to do men's hair as well after graduating in 1954 from the now-defunct Bay City Beauty College, but stopped years ago.
Sczepanski worked in Midland until about 1966, when she went into business for herself. She works five days a week, and sometimes on Saturday. She likes to stay busy and says she has no plans to retire because she does not know what else she would do to occupy her time.
