Audio network gets cops to gunshots

A gunfire detection system captures more than 39,000 shooting incidents in Washington, D.C. since 2006, according to an analysis by The Washington Post. It is called 'ShotSpotter' and it offers an unprecedented view of crime in the city. The Post's Gabe Silverman shows how it works.
