An audit of the D.C. Democratic State Committee Political Action Committee has found that the committee did not report nearly half of its expenditures this year, and it failed to report $20,350 in receipts.

According to a report issued Thursday by the D.C. Office of Campaign Finance, the committee did not report three expenses that totaled $34,449.02. The committee initially reported $43,188.46 in expenses and $71,945 in receipts.

The audit, which is part of the OCF's periodic audits of the committee, found that the PAC amended its campaign finance records to show $112,320 in receipts and $77,680.48 in expenses and provided documentation to substantiate the unreported expenses. The committee has $45,060.38 in cash on hand.
