Austria Protests Doping Test On Eve Of Olympic Race

The Austrian Olympic Committee has filed a complaint with the IOC about the timing of a doping test for Alpine skier Elisabeth Goergl late Tuesday, the night before the women's downhill race at the Sochi Games. The Austrian committee says doping officials visited Goergl at 10:55 p.m. local time for an unannounced test, and it interrupted her preparation. Goergl, the 2011 downhill world champion, finished 16th in the race that started at 11 a.m.
