Liz Farmer is the Washington Examiner’s city hall reporter covering Washington, D.C. politics, breaking news and life in the District. Since arriving at The Examiner in September 2010, Liz has covered the 2011 earthquake, the local impact of the Osama bin Laden capture and killing, the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the resignation of two D.C. Council members and the region’s rapidly changing socio-economic structure.

Prior to The Washington Examiner, Liz covered Maryland business for The Daily Record in Baltimore. A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, Liz moved to D.C. in 1998 to attend The George Washington University where she studied American history and television production. She worked at Discovery Communications before receiving her Master of Journalism from the University of Maryland in 2007.
