Matthew Sheffield is is president of Dialog New Media, a marketing and technology consultancy company headquarted in the Washington, DC area. He contributes opinion commentary to the Beltway Confidential blog.
Sheffield is the creator of the popular media watchdog site NewsBusters.org; he also founded RatherBiased.com, a web site credited by the Pew Internet and American Life Project as being most influential in the "Memogate" scandal of the 2004 election that led to the firing of CBS anchor Dan Rather.
