  • So long and thanks ... for all the wine

    By Scott Greenberg | 06/11/13 07:25 PM

My father once told me that there is a first time and a last time for everything. My first wine column appeared in the Journal Newspaper almost 10 years ago to this date. Three years later, the paper was acquired by The Washington Examiner and, thankfully, so was my column. For the last seven...

For the last 50 years, the state of Washington has quietly but steadily been producing a bevy of tasty wines ranging from crisp, dry whites to spicy, bold reds and just about everything in between. According to the Washington Wine Center's website, the wine industry has been around in various...

As the old saying goes, "Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life." Well, on a recent business trip, the next best thing happened to me. I went to Portland, Ore., for work and fell in love -- again -- with the Willamette Valley. The Willamette Valley is...
