BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (AP) — Denso Manufacturing Michigan Inc. is hosting a job fair in Battle Creek designed to help the automotive supplier fill the 150 temporary production jobs it has available.
The four-hour fair is scheduled for Saturday at Denso's location inside the Fort Custer Industrial Park.
Denso makes air conditioning and engine cooling components and systems. MLive.com says about 2,600 employees work at its 1.3-million-square-foot manufacturing plant at the industrial park.
According to company official Karen Cooper-Boyer, many of the jobs Denso is looking to fill had been temporarily filled by college students who will be returning to school. They include positions that pay $10 to $11 per hour.
The Battle Creek Enquirer reports those who are unable to attend Saturday's job fair also may apply by contacting one of Denso's staffing agencies.
