Baton Rouge seniors group gets grant

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — The East Baton Rouge Council on Aging has received a received a $10,000 grant from retailer Wal-Mart Stores Inc.

The Advocate reports (http://bit.ly/SVV0Zp ) the council was one of 10 senior citizen-focused nonprofits nationwide receiving the grants.

Other grants went to organizations in Mississippi, Nevada, Wisconsin, Texas, North Carolina, Georgia Florida, Connecticut and Missouri.
