CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — A Charlotte museum is beginning a display of various works to show the relationships between the artists and the family that collected the paintings, prints and sculptures.

The collection is on display at the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art beginning Saturday and continuing through July 29.

A statement from the museum says the focus of the show is to reinforce the importance of artists' relationships with each other as they mature. Relationships presented in the exhibition take a variety of forms from what's described as love affairs and marriages to lifelong friendships and teacher/student pairings.
