Vice President Joe Biden hit on a new way to appeal to Greek Americans, during a campaign stop today in Ohio, by offering himself as the most Greek Irishman in the world.

“Approaching a table of men he knew to be Greek,” the pool reporter noted, “the VP said, ‘I’m Joe Bidenopoulos.’” In that vein, Biden said “Ask George who’se the most Greek Irishman he’s ever known.”

The pooler wasn’t sure “who George was, maybe someone at the table,” but explained Greek Irishman line by saying that it “sounded like Biden was suggesting he is.”
