BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) — One of Billings' oldest real-estate firms will be the first in Montana to change its name after Warren Buffet's Berkshire Hathaway Inc. purchased Prudential.
The Billings Gazette reports (bit.ly/QTf0yU) Prudential Floberg Realtors will become Berkshire Hathaway Home Services starting July 1.
Buffet's conglomerate bought Prudential in 2012. Managing partner Linda Parker says Floberg is the first Prudential firm in Montana to make the switch.
The company was founded by Don Floberg in 1959 and became affiliated with Prudential in 1990.
The firm has 60 agents. Parker says the change will give them more market data and exposure, but the daily operations and management should remain the same.
