Salesforce.com on Monday made what could turn out to be one of the biggest changes in the cloud computing pioneer’s history. The 2,000 business applications that customers currently run using Salesforce’s Application Exchange can now easily be made to work on any device, including desktops, smartphones and tablets, the company says. Applications on the exchange have been downloaded over 2 million times, and each of those applications can potentially touch hundreds, or thousands, of people.
