U.S. Park Police discovered a woman’s body along the shore of the Anacostia River Monday evening, according to D.C. police officials.
District police were notified about 7 p.m. of the discovery of the unidentified female, found near the 1800 block of Anacostia Drive S.E. The violent crimes branch of the park police has been called to the scene, according to officials.
Police had no information on the cause of death.
