Fall’s most fabulous fashion fete — the District Sample Sale — has announced it will hold its shopping extravaganza on Sept. 26 in Georgetown. “We are excited that our space, which has been generously donated by Vornado/Charles E. Smith, is twice as big as years past, so we’ll be bringing in more stores, more shopping and more interactive stations than ever before,” DSS’ Barbara Martin told Yeas & Nays.
Tickets, which usually sell out within days, will go on sale Thursday at 10 a.m. General admission tickets, which include shopping from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., cost $40; VIP tickets cost $100 and include a goodie bag and a bonus hour of browsing. For $250, a Benefactress ticket gets you to the front of the line, more shopping time and an “uber-fabulous” gift bag.
Proceeds from the event benefit Women Empowered Against Violence, a group that provides legal representation, counseling and case management for victims of abuse.
