Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney is not only making headlines over his controversial comment about liking to fire people during a campaign stop in New Hampshire. Thanks to the Rick Perry camp, he’s also making ringtones.
The latest jab in the GOP presidential race comes from Perry camp, which created the ”I like being able to fire people” ringtone available for download on his website. Since Romney already has a jingle (we think a more appropriate tune might be West Side Story’s “I Feel Pretty”) Yeas & Nays thought it was only fair for us to assign each hopeful with a song we saw fitting:
Inspired by his love for liberty, we selected George Michael’s 1990 hit “Freedom” for Ron Paul. For the former Speaker of the House — and man of multiple marriages — Newt Gingrich, we chose Tammy Wynette’s 1968 chart topper- “D-I-V-O-R-C-E”. Weezer’s “Undone-The Sweater Song” is truly fitting for Mr. Sweater Vest himself, Rick Santorum. Lastly, no song could ring more true for Perry than “Three Is a Magic Number” from Schoolhouse Rock.
