The death of a man whose decomposing body was found in Southeast D.C. on Saturday has been ruled a homicide, police said.

About 3:15 p.m., police responded to the report of an unconscious person in the 1900 block of Curtis Court SE and found the man's remains. An autopsy found that the man died as a result of multiple blunt-impact injures, D.C. police said.

The man has not yet been identified. A police spokesman said the body had been there for a while, but did not know exactly how long.
