CLEVELAND, Miss. (AP) — Bolivar Medical Center has named Robert L. Marshall Jr. as its new chief executive officer.
Starting July 15, Marshall will replace James Atkins. Atkins has been the hospital's interim CEO since February.
Bolivar Medical Center is part of the Central Group of LifePoint Hospitals of Brentwood, Tennessee.
Marshall comes to Bolivar from another LifePoint facility: River Parishes Hospital in La Place, Louisiana. He has been CEO there since November 2012.
Before joining LifePoint, Marshall was chief operating officer and chief administrative officer at University of Texas Health Sciences Center in Tyler, Texas.
Bolivar Medical Center is a 165 bed acute-care general hospital. It also offers a wide array of outpatient services and in addition, includes a 35-bed nursing home.
LifePoint operates 62 hospital campuses in 20 states.
