America's top court convened on Tuesday to take up the delicate and divisive issue of gay marriage, with the nine Supreme Court justices set to consider the legality of a California ballot initiative that limits marriage to opposite-sex couples. The argument is scheduled to last only one hour, but it may give clues as to how the justices are leaning. It will begin shortly after 9 a.m. Central time. At about noon, the court will release audio of the arguments on its website.
