From SCOTUS blog right now: #doma jurisdiction argument continues with no clear indication of whether a majority believes #scotus has the power to decide the case. And from the Wall Street Journal: #scotus justices questioned whether the #doma case belonged before the Supreme Court at all. Arguments continuing inside and outside the court right now on the Defense of Marriage Act signed into law by President Clinton in 1996. It prevents the federal government from recognizing state sanctioned marriages between gay couples.
