Aston Martins and a martini bar could only mean one thing: it was James Bond Night at the British Embassy.

On Tuesday night, British Ambassador Peter Westmacott hosted an evening to celebrate the release of the latest Bond film, "Skyfall," and the new International Spy Museum exhibition, "Exquisitely Evil: 50 Years of Bond Villains." The exhibition pays homage to iconic bad guys like Jaws and Oddjob with 100 artifacts and videos.

The ambassador spoke of that famed "special relationship" between the U.K. and the U.S. "We make things called 'Downton Abbey,' you make things called 'Homeland.' " There are addicts on both sides of the pond," Westmacott said.
