Brooke Burke-Charvet, co-host of "Dancing With the Stars," has announced that she has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer and is going to have surgery.
"I'm going to have a have a nice big scar right here across my neck," Brooke, 41, said Thursday in a video she made for her fans. "And I don't get to just walk around and pretend like nothing happened or not follow up or not share it because it's going to be pretty much dead center."
The TV host was previously diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease, an autoimmune disease that attacks the thyroid gland.
Brooke says she's booked her surgery, but her rep says the mother of four's work schedule will not be affected by her thyroidectomy.
Ariel's mom denies abuse allegations
Ariel Winter, the 14-year-old actress who plays Alex Dunphy on "Modern Family," was removed from her home after allegations of abuse by her mother surfaced.
According to TMZ, the accusations were serious enough to get Ariel pulled from her home and placed with her sister, Shanelle Workman (who was removed from the same situation two decades ago). But Ariel's brother tells Us Weekly that "there is no truth to these allegations."
People magazine says Ariel's mother, Chris Workman, is also denying the claims. "It's all untrue," she told the mag.
According to court records, a hearing has been set for Nov. 20.
