The brother of Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith was killed in a motorcycle crash in Virginia, police said.

The crash occurred late Saturday night on Route 672 Chatham Lane, about half a mile west of Route 645 Zacata Road in Westmoreland County, Va. Tevin L. Jones, who was operating a 2006 Yamaha YZF-R1 motorcycle, ran off the road and hit a utility pole, according to Virginia State police.

Jones, 19, died at the scene. He was wearing a helmet.

"I can't believe my little brother is gone ...be thankful for your loved ones and tell them you love them ...this is the hardest thing ever," Smith tweeted.

Police are investigating the incident and say that alcohol was not a factor.
