A Burke man has pleaded guilty to producing child pornography of a minor under the age of 12, authorities said Friday.

Officials said Jason Laposay, 40, was identified by police after the Fairfax County Child Abuse hotline received a tip from a person who said Laposay was sexually abusing a minor.

Fairfax County Child Protective Services interviewed the young girl and determined that Laposay had sexually abused her once a week for more than two years.

Police search Laposay's home on Jan. 25 and found six videos of Laposay having sex with the girl, all produced on an iPhone. Police also found more than 3,000 images of child pornography in Laposay's home.

Laposay pleaded guilty to one count of production of child pornography with a minor under the age of 12. He faces a minimum of 15 years in prison and a maximum of 30 years in prison. He will be sentenced on Oct. 26.
