A local non-profit will be celebrating all things pie related on Thursday, including selling them, at its annual "Slice of Life" event in downtown D.C.

Dubbing it "Community Pie Day," Food & Friends will be drawing attention to that fact that there is only one week left in their pie selling campaign to raise money to support their home delivery of meals to critically ill people in the D.C. area. There will be raffles, pie-themed games and free samples of the pies that are available for sale.

Each pie sold will provide one full day of meals for Food & Friends clients, and the group hopes to sell 7,600 pies. The events will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Farragut Square. For more information, click here.
