By the numbers: Loss of beer threatens the region

13,000: The number of gallons of beer facing ruin at Alexandria's Port City Brewing Company due to power outages. The beer is currently sitting in the fermentation tanks at the brewery, which lost power on Friday. Owner Bill Butcher said that a generator is keeping the beer at the proper temperature, but without close monitoring, the batch could easily be ruined.
