221: The number of people on the host committee -- that's just the host committee, not the guest list -- of D.C. Councilmember Muriel Bowser's 40th birthday party this Thursday. The committee includes local politicos like former Mayor Adrian Fenty and his wife Michelle, plus a little reality TV star power in the form of Stacie Scott Turner of "The Real Housewives of D.C."

Turner tells Yeas & Nays that the party, which doubles as a fundraiser for the Ward 4 councilmember's re-election campaign, will be at a private residence in Northwest D.C. It is not themed, but Turner said that "it's outdoors and the host's garden is lovely."
