It might be easy to forget now that it's firmly entrenched as one of the unquestioned best guy movies of all-time, but Pulp Fiction was a genuine pop culture phenomenon back when it debuted in 1994. And while the Oscars got it wrong that year, Cannes didn't, awarding Quentin Tarantino with the prestigious Best Picture award.
