NEW YORK (AP) — Authorities say a vehicle crashed into a house in New York City, injuring a woman and her 5-year-old daughter sleeping inside the house.

The car went through the front of the Staten Island home at 4:10 a.m. Friday.

The 40-year-old woman and her daughter were taken Staten Island North University Hospital where they were listed in stable condition.

Police say the 22-year-old driver who lost control of the car is suspected of DWI. No charges were immediately filed.
