EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) — Evansville's Casino Aztar says it's changing its name to Tropicana Evansville in June.
The riverboat casino announced the rebranding on Tuesday. It reflects a 2010 change in ownership when Tropicana Entertainment Inc. acquired the then-bankrupt casino on the Ohio River from Columbia Sussex.
Casino General Manager Ward Shaw says the Tropicana name has greater recognition in the gaming industry. Tropicana also has sites in Las Vegas, Atlantic City and Aruba.
