NEW ORLEANS (AP) — The Louisiana Children's Museum plans a New Year's Eve celebration for youngsters Dec. 31 from 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

A museum spokeswoman said the fete will have all the trappings of a New Year party, including a countdown to 2013 planned for noon.

Entertainment will be provided by the Lagniappe Brass Band.
