China's Cabinet office for the Internet says it will step up scrutiny of information technology products for possible security flaws. Thursday's announcement comes amid tensions between Beijing and Washington over U.S. criminal charges of cyber spying leveled against five Chinese military officers. The government's Xinhua News Agency said government experts will scrutinize products and services to be used for national security and other public interests.
