Looks like Rep. John Fleming, R-La., can check this one off his bucket list. He makes a brief cameo in an upcoming episode of CMT's "My Big Redneck Vacation."

"A lot of these reality shows are based in Louisiana and that one, the family, nearly all of the members ... are from [our] fourth district," Fleming's spokesman Doug Sachtleben told Yeas & Nays. "So they asked, they wanted to meet their congressman so we said sure." The Clampet family, the main focus of the show, mainly talked to Fleming about a pothole problem outside of Shreveport.

"It was a good experience," Sachtleben said. "He loves the opportunity to meet these folks and appreciates what they're doing. They are bringing good attention to Louisiana."

Sachtleben says the congressman also doesn't mind the whole "redneck" moniker. "I think, you know, living around here, he's grown up in Mississippi and Louisiana, he's heard the term in the best of sense all throughout his life -- just good folks," Sachtleben said.

Fleming's brush with fame and vacationing rednecks debuts Feb. 9 at 9 p.m.
