Conservative Rep. Justin Amash R-Mich. reprimanded Sen. John McCain on Twitter this morning after McCain tweeted a joke about Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

“So Ahmadinejad wants to be first Iranian in space – wasn’t he just there last week?” asked McCain, tweeting a link to a story about  Iran launching monkey into space.

After Twitter users complained, McCain demanded that people “lighten up” about the “joke.”

But Rep. Justin Amash, was not amused.

“Maybe you should wisen up & not make racist jokes.” he replied.
