Consumer shares are mixed in late-session trading while Walt Disney Co. (NYSE:DIS) is seeing some support after announcing a key deal for a daytime television show host. Shares of the company are higher as the company's ABC unit signed Katie Couric--a former CBS News anchor--to produce and host her own afternoon talk show, according to several reports. Couric is also slated to join ABC News. Meanwhile, shares of CVS Caremark (NYSE:CVS) are down even as the drugstore chain landed a $3 billion pharmacy contract that provides mail-order and specialty pharmacy benefits to federal employees. CVS, competes with Walgreen (NYSE:WAG) and Wal-Mart (NYSE:WMT).
