BALTIMORE (AP) — Emergency management officials say a contractor who fell from a tree in Garrett County has died. His death is the fourth storm-related fatality in Maryland.

Edward McDonough, spokesman for the Maryland Emergency Management Agency, said Tuesday that the contractor was removing limbs from a storm-damaged tree in the Oakland area Monday when he fell 30 to 40 feet and died.

Earlier storm deaths include a man who died after a boat capsized off southern Maryland, and a woman who died when a tree crashed into her home.
