File this one under the celebs-are-just-like-us category. Friday night in the VIP section of the Funny or Die Party at Longview Gallery, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo had a little fun with his buddy, “Gossip Girl’s” Chace Crawford. (Romo is engaged to Crawford’s sister Candice). “Hey, someone caught this picture of you,” Romo said, showing Crawford a picture on his smartphone. It was Crawford, with a massive double chin, created by Romo using a FatBooth app. “That’s my favorite app,” Crawford told Yeas & Nays.
Romo and Crawford hung out on one side of the VIP tent with NBC’s Luke Russert, while other celebrities poured in throughout the night. Bradley Cooper and Zach Galifianakis stopped by, as did Sean Penn with his reporter/handler for the weekend, Mother Jones’ David Corn. A tipsy Jon Hamm tipped a server a $20 since she was kind enough to bring back trays of drinks from the bar outside the roped off area.
Later, many of the Hollywood types ended up at the Passenger, a favorite watering hole for hipsters and cocktail connoisseurs. We counted Cooper, Penn, Galifianakis and Hamm, who were joined by “Parks and Recreation’s” Rashida Jones and the White House’s Tommy Vietor.
