GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) — The organization CEOs for Cities plans to holds its 2013 three-day national conference in Grand Rapids.
The event starts Sept. 29 and is expected to overlap with ArtPrize, the annual national art competition that takes place in the West Michigan city.
Lee Fisher, president and CEO of CEOs for Cities, says the event will help business, community, foundation and government leaders "explore the best practices" for boosting U.S. cities. The organization was founded in 2001 with the aim of helping leaders think ahead to strengthen their communities.
Specific plans for the event will be outlined in the coming months.
