Candidates in the April 23 at-large Council race must report the campaign donations they have received to the Office of Campaign Finance by midnight Monday.

Ward 3 advisory neighborhood commissioner Matthew Frumin had the largest haul last time around, bringing in about $82,000, including about $10,000 he donated to his own campaign.

Former Councilman Michael Brown reported less than $10,000 for the Jan. 31 deadline.

After those filings were announced, Brown predicted better returns in March.

"Raising money is never my problem," Brown said at the time. "We haven't even started fundraising yet."

The fundraising filings are an opportunity for candidates in the seven-person race to convince voters they have a viable path to winning.
