The circus rolled into town Tuesday, after several days of great celebrity drama taking place in our neighbor up north. On behalf of PETA, Baltimore native, actress Jada Pinkett Smith, penned a letter to Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake last week asking her to enforce the city's ban on bullhooks, a move to protect circus elephants.

Rawlings-Blake spat back, according to the Baltimore Sun, saying she had more important things to do and that she liked the circus -- a move that irritated the star.

The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus is coming to D.C. first, with performances March 15 to 18, then moving to Baltimore for perhaps more hoopla on the 21st.
