In honor of the World Basketball Festival coming to Washington this month, Nike is bestowing the capital with two D.C.-themed shoes. The Jordan Super.Fly and the Air Jordan 1 Retro High D.C. will debut on July 14, priced at $140 and $130 respectively. According to Nike, "'Dress blues' were the inspiration for the 'D.C.' colorways, mimicking the uniform and medals of a decorated officer." Yeas & Nays is hoping to see them on Rep. Cedric Richmond, D-La., who has been previously spotted crisscrossing the Capitol in sharp sneakers.
