A D.C. man pleaded guilty Thursday to a series of sexual assaults on women near Dupont Circle last summer, U.S. Attorneys announced.

Oscar Mauricio Cornejo-Pena, 31, pleaded guilty to four counts of misdemeanor sexual abuse, and faces a maximum sentence of nearly two years in prison.

In four incidents last August, Cornejo-Pena rode his bicycle past the women and grabbed them in the buttocks before riding away, according to prosecutors. The attacks all occurred in the daylight hours, never later than 6:37 p.m.

Cornejo-Pena is scheduled to be sentenced on Nov. 14.
