D.C. police are investigating a pair of Saturday night stabbings that left two victims injured.

Officers found a victim who had been stabbed in the 1600 block of U Street SE around 9 p.m., said police spokesman Paul Metcalf, though additional details about the victim's condition and suspect were not immediately available.

A second stabbing occurred approximately two hours later in the 1200 block of Stevens Road SE, Metcalf said. Officers found a man with knife wounds in his back, but conscious upon their arrival. Metcalf said police did not yet have information about the suspect.

The two incidents are not believed to be related.
