D.C. police release video of armed robbery on U Street

D.C. police have released surveillance video of an armed robbery of a Northwest Washington convenience store, and are asking the public to help identify the suspects.

Police said two gunmen held up the 7-Eleven store at 1115 U St. at around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Both suspects were described as black males, in their early 20s. The first was about 6-feet tall, slim build, with a dark complexion, last seen in gray jeans and gray shirt. The second was about 5-feet-6, slim build with light to medium complexioned, last seen wearing blue jeans and a dark hooded sweatshirt.

Anyone with information about the incident or gunmen can but call police at (202) 727-9099 or send a text to the department's text tip line to 50411.

D.C. police offers a reward of up to $10,000 in the case.
