D.C. woman sexually assaulted during home burglary

D.C. police are investigating an armed burglary and sex assault of a woman at her home in Northeast Washington.

At around 4 a.m. Wednesday, the two suspects entered a residence in the 2400 block of Second Street NE, and produced a handgun and knife. One of the suspects sexually assaulted an adult female before taking property and fleeing.

The first suspect was described as a black male, medium to dark complexion, about 6-feet tall, last seen wearing a dark hoodie and black mask. He was armed with a handgun.

The second suspect was a black male, medium to dark complexion, about 5-feet-7, last seen wearing dark clothing and a black mask. He was armed with a knife.
