WASHINGTON (AP) — Gas prices in the D.C. metro area are down three cents from a week ago.
In its weekly report released Sunday, AAA says the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gas is $3.36, down from $3.39 a week ago. The price is 5 cents lower than a year ago, when the price was $3.41.
The price of gas in the region is 7 cents above the national average. The national average for a gallon of unleaded was $3.29, down 2 cents from a week ago.
The average price in the District of Columbia alone was $3.56, down 6 cents from a week ago.
